Jayne Carol Miller

Jayne joined TGB permanently in January 2013 as a Litigation Paralegal to Attorney Lynn Bradley, focusing on Worker’s Compensation and Collaborative Law.  Before accepting this position she worked with Mary Ann Barnes on an intern basis, assisting in Social Security Disability.

Jayne worked with the Federal Government for twenty years in a variety of challenging positions, from the Pentagon to an Air Force installation in Yokota, Japan.  Eight of those years was spent with FEMA, assisting in disaster preparedness and managing an emergency communications site of over 50 employees.

Wanting to be a stay-at-home mom, after the birth of her son, Jayne decided to manage a business from home.  She assisted in planning events and fundraisers for local businesses and schools, while continuing to work as an independent contractor with the the Social Security Administration.  It was in this position that Jayne became more interested in the legal field.  She went back to school to obtain her Paralegal certification through Germanna Community College in 2010.  She is currently taking classes in Conversational Spanish to enhance her skills in working with Spanish speaking clients.

Jayne lives in Orange, VA and enjoys photography, gardening and working as a volunteer for local civic organizations.  Her son, Patrick, is also working in the legal field as an assistant at a law firm in Orange, while continuing to go to Piedmont Virginia Community College.

  1. I always thought that there were only lawyers that dealt with everything. It wasn't until I took an Into to Law class that I found out that there are divorce, family, and criminal lawyers. It was a really cool class and I actually got to meet quite a few criminal defense lawyers from Charlottesville, VA. http://www.hartdefense.com/Criminal-Defense/
